NSF Student Travel Grant for IEEE SMARTCOMP 2016
The 2nd IEEE International Conference on Smart Computing (SMARTCOMP 2016) to be held in St. Louis, Missouri on May 18-20, 2016 is pleased to announce competitive travel grants to attend IEEE SMARTCOMP 2016. Conference and all co-located events such as Workshops, Ph.D. Forum, Work-in-Progress, Poster and Demo sessions.
Travel funds provided by the US National Science Foundation are available only to full time students attending US colleges and universities. Underrepresented minority and women students from diverse US institutions are particularly encouraged to apply. Exceptional undergraduate research students (e.g., NSF REU students) and young post-doctoral researchers may be considered for support on a case-by-case basis. To be eligible, US based students (referred to as “you”) must apply no later than Monday, April 4, 2016 via EasyChair.
PhD students eligible and applying for NSF student travel grant are also expected to participate in the PhD Forum. Instructions on how to submit two-page abstract for PhD Forum are available on the conference website: here
To apply for travel support, please do the following:
Please note that IEEE SMARTCOMP conference may not be able to reimburse for all of your travel expenses due to the limited budget. Eligible expenses for reimbursement include advance student registration fee, hotel, and transportation (airfare, bus or train). Expenses that are not eligible for reimbursement include regular and/or on-site registration, taxi and meals. Student travel grants are available in the form of reimbursements that are sent only after the completion of the conference and receipt of all required documentation and receipts. The reimbursement amount will be based on the number of awards made and distance traveled.
